I watched Songs of Praise this evening as I was eating my dinner, and this week it came from the Calder Valley in West Yorkshire, and it featured Incredible Edible Todmorden, a wonderful scheme in which vegetables, fruits and herbs are grown in many public places and spaces, such as the police station, health centres, schools, and car parks for people to take as they wish. Wouldn't it be great if we could get more towns growing food like this?
Click on the link to Songs of Praise while you can. The bit about Incredible Edible is about two thirds of the way through.
